Waterproof Shower Backer Board
KBRS GoBoard® shower backer board is up to 80% lighter than cement backer boards yet it is engineered and rigorously tested for strength and durability. The ultra-lightweight material helps you to complete the job faster and more cost effectively, with no strain on your back. Using GoBoard® to build walls over stud framing in wet areas is an efficient alternative to using gypsum board. This tile backer board has waterproofing built-in, so you only need to seal the board joints and fastener locations for a waterproof tile assembly.*
The backer board installation kit includes:
- Six Sheets of GoBoard® backer board (3' x 5' x 1/2" sheets)
- Four tubes of KBRS ShowerSeal® Polyurethane Sealant (10.3 oz. each)
- 200 Screws & 200 Washers Kit
Note that this kit provides enough backer board to cover 90/120 square feet. Additional materials may be necessary for larger shower installations.
